Our Story

After dealing with the first round of lockdowns in Australia, our family had had insatiable desire to get back outdoors. We purchased a 4x4, canopy and a roof top tent... noting there was clearly a shortage of supply and an increased demand!
After a 3 month trip with the family through some amazing country, living out of a roof top tent, we wanted the option of a bit more privacy and a bit more comfort. After a lot of effort we found a caravan that was just what we wanted. It was a 'last years' model, off the showroom floor, so it was available 'now' and was a great compromise between size, luxury and quality of construction. We then put a lot of effort in preparing ourselves for camping and caravaning and purchasing all the gear we wanted, to make the most of our 4 month getaway. With all of the effort we put in to planning, preparing and procuring... and the lack of availability and price premiums being paid as a result, we saw an opportunity in the market. As a result, we have significant expanded our range of camping gear to enable us to offer a great range of quality equipment that you'll need. |
The upfront costs of purchasing equipment and setting yourself up for a trip can be very high and prohibitive for many... we want to provide people with an option to have the enjoyable trip, adventure, or holiday without the excessive capital costs.
The range of equipment and gear out in the market is massive! It can sometimes take several attempts before finding what is the best for you. Admittedly, a number of things come down to personal preference, but we feel that with all of the research (and mistakes made) that we have have found some of best quality available. The time and effort to research, review, find, and wait for stock can be exhausting and can detract from the excitement of planning the trip. We have our Van on Camplify, which is great for standard, short to medium term bookings of the van or camper... but the platforms rigidity left a bit to be desired when it came to longer bookings, discounts, and all the extra gear and advice we can offer. The cancellation policy also doesn't align with what we believe to be both fair to the hirer and to us. |
